Parisa Applegarth is a part-Iranian Swedish-American photographer based in Canberra, Australia. She travels the world documenting tribes, some rapidly disappearing due to the threat to their ecosystems and others who are being ‘modernised’ through efforts and programs by governments, missionaries and corporations. She collected a series of photographs, Women of Remote Hill Tribes in South East Asia, during a five-week trek through Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia in December 2014 – January 2015.  Check them out here
